Size: 5 1/2" 14 cm | PRICE: $155 |
COMMENTS:
Even for the generally humble Parker 45, true Demonstrators are not so
easy to find. This one pops. Dates presumably to 1960s. I will dig up a
modern Parker converter to add to this before shipping. Writes a nice fine line. Gold nib. |

PRICE: $295 |
COMMENTS: Parker's
Premier was the upscale 75, offered for a much briefer period. Laque
Chinese is a "better' finish. Dates I believe to the late 1980s. Modern
Parker converter included. |

Size: 5 1/4" 13.2cm | PRICE: $235 |
COMMENTS:
Amongst the most desirable Sonnet finishes, this one pops. As-mint
condition (no ink showed on writing test done with water). I believe
this was one of the first colors/patterns offered with Sonnet, dating
perhaps to 1993. Responsive medium point on two-tone 18k nib. Parker converter included. |
Pen 4031 Parker 41 (not 51). Coral with Fishscale Cap $175

Clutch: Perfect | clarity: NA | |
Point: Fine | Imprint: NA | Size: 5 1/4", 13.4 cm |
PRICE: $175 |
COMMENTS: Mid 1950s standard size pen, the Parker 41 slotted below the 51 and either above the 21 or perhaps preceded the 21. Coral is a desirable color and the enamal "fish scale" cap formally makes this the Debutante, if I follow this series correctly. The 41 offered some interesting colors and caps in comparison to the more sedate 51. Nice feature cocktail. Has proper Parker 41 aerometric filling unit. Clean pen. The plastic on these can be fragile. This one has no cracks and good color |

COMMENTS:
Parker 75 is a high quality pen that saw production
from the 1960's-1980's, with manufacture moving from
the USA to France during that period. A huge array of
finishes, evolutionary tweaks, and a broad spread of
interchangeable nibs, render this a highly collectable
series. Cartridge/converter pens. The pens above
trickled from multiple sources, and this offering does
not include any of the 30+ 75's found in a recent
Janesville, WI pen hoard I acquired last Autumn. Those
will show up on the website one day soon, I hope. LEFT to RIGHT: |

COMMENTS: The great look and feel of the USA-made "61" but with none of the hassle. This one has an converter filler. English production it has a very smooth nib, typical to English Parker pens. The barrel is cleanly personalized in the cartouche. Couple light pin-dings to cap, one must work to find them. |

COMMENTS: Killer nib on a mint Flighter. Oh yeah, the broad oblique (tilts down right to left, meant for right handed writers) has a bit of flex. Comes with a metal Aerometric style filling unit (at least I suspect it is not a converter, per se. I did not wish to force it from the pen to check) |

COMMENTS: First Year Jotters have become quite collectable.. The lined nylon barrel with no end cone is the key identifier to the early Jotter. Takes modern refills- including gel. This one is rather special. Orange/Salmon is a much "better" color, in the 1st-Year-Jotter universe. I've owned couple during the last ten years. Then I managed to find a tray of mint NOS (with original, generally non-working, cartridge). Stickered pen, superb in all respects. |

COMMENTS: First Year Jotters have become quite collectable. The lined nylon barrel with no end cone is the key identifier to the early Jotter. Takes modern refills- including gel. This one is rather special. Marine Blue is amongst the most high cachet colors 1st-Year-Jotter universe. About five years ago I did the photo shoot of a major private collection for an article on Jotter for STYUS Magazine. The owner of this collection told me his blue pen was the only one he'd ever found. Recently I managed to find a tray of mint NOS (with original, generally non-working, cartridge) specimens. Stickered pe, superb in all respects. |

COMMENTS: The notion of a monochromatic "rainbow" tends to give me a headache, but that seems to be what folks call even the white-metal version of the cap divided by sweeping arcs. A multi-hued form exists, too. Clean pen. Capillary filler. No dings. Intact arrow in the hood. The black lines which divide the cap are no longer present in the engraved arcs- perhaps polished away vs original look. |
