| COMMENTS: Turquoise is a high cachet Waterman color, found in Patrician, Lady Patricia and 92-V. Sharp imprints. Speckling of brassing to the lever and occasional tiny bit to cap-band. This one has a Waterman nib at its best. Highly controlled (not floppy) flex with smooth wet line. A gem of a writer for one who wants the vintage writing experience. NOTE- this image is a bit pale/desaturated relative to the pen, compared to most of the photos on the webpage. | |||

Pen 3004-S Moore Fountain Pen $235

| COMMENTS: Moore generally is considered a seoond tier manufacturer , though it had its share of first quality pens. Moore tended to follow the herd. This one is amongst the prettiest Moores I've handled. Candystripe plastic is known more from overseas than from the USA. The Burgundy color is superb. Imprint sharp. Trim very clean. An outrageous wee writer for someone seeking the vintage flex feel in a pen. | |||

PRICE: $495 |
| COMMENTS: The PFM series is the oversized pen which employed Sheaffer's vaunted snorkel-filling mechanism. Usually nice writers, these are a terrific choice for he who seeks a big gripping area. The tapered shell and lack of a step-off allow for very comfortable writing. The PFM has five trim levels found in all five colors. The PFM-IV was the second to top model produced in all colors, but today is markedly more scarce than the originally more expensive PFM-V. Finding one with a monster nib... not a common event. | |||

| COMMENTS: Clear Laque (enamel) on guilloche. Reportedly hand-laquered 14 coats. Deep lustre poorly captured in my photo. One of most beautiful Targas (or near modern pens in general) i've had the pleasure to handle. I grabbed one of the last trays of NOS (pre-NOS really) from a Sheaffer rep. Two pens were promptly claimed at the Syracuse Pen Club meeting. Ask Al Besser or Jerry Fine how they like the pens :) I have a couple amber pens left. Oh yeah, the mint pen is fitted with a sweet broad stub nib. Converter included. | |||

| COMMENTS:
Wear and bit of brass and a couple small dings on the posting area at very
bottom of pen. Incredible nib. The Telescope Cap ringtops are most
uncommon and are represented in the Waterman Catalog. The ringed outer
cap can be completely removed, leaving a complete pen in hand.
Neat item. |

| COMMENTS: Waterman's overlay pens are quite collectable. The 5x (fifty-something) models were introduced in 1917. Several overlay patterns can be found. Smooth Golldfilled such as this is less commonly seen than Filigree, Sheraton, and Gothic amongst others. The barrel has one shallow ding that causes disruption of the shadow in the picture, above. Nice flex nib. | |||

| COMMENTS: The PFM series is the oversized pen which employed
Sheaffer's vaunted snorkel-filling mechanism. Usually nice writers,
these are a terrific choice for he who seeks a big gripping area. The
tapered shell and lack of a step-off allow for very comfortable
writing. Indeed, A black PFM II that i once had on the site for sale,
became my regular user at work and has been so now for probably a year.
The PFM has five trim levels found in all five colors. This one is a PFM I- with the expected white trim and PdAg nib. It also has one of the quite small number of Broad+ nibs i've seen in this series. Broad- Double Broad range, the ball shaped iridium writes a monster line. Scarce nib. |
