PRICE: $185 |
| COMMENTS: A big honkin pen from Parker England at time that USA-made pens were wee skinny things. A Rather massive pen for the era, this one is longer than any of the
typical "oversized" pens from the USA during the 1930's-1960s and is
about as wide as those pens. The last of the pens from the era to
feature the "arrow" nib. The barrel carries the "Maxima" imprint.
Aerometric self-filler. England
carried on the wide feather clip and deco-band long after the USA had
dispensed with them. Plump Broad Semi Flex Nib. Clean pen with superb trim. Note the pic above shows the closed pen 2202 (reused the closed-pen image). The imprint is somewhat lighter on this pen. The open shot is of actual pen. |

| COMMENTS: Sheaffer's massively successful "51" fighter during the 1950's, produced in an impressive array of colors and trim. Soverign, the fanciest of the non-white dot models should have a two tone gold nib. This nib is monotone. But, this is the pen in which i found it. The nib is the fattest Snork point i've ever handled and by today's standards would be pushing "double broad". Smooth wet line. I want $150 for the nib. I'll toss in the clean pen and its recent restoration for addition $25 or total $175 the package :) | |||

PRICE: $365 |
COMMENTS:
This is a first-style Doric in one of the most fragile colors, Kashmir.
Most out there have crazed and fluoresced. This one is superb. Whilst
I'd expect a Gold Seal nib in a Gold Seal (unpunched) pen, this one has
a non-GS nib (who knows? Custom request at time, or later swap) that
is up there with the two 2-3 most interesting nibs in this latest
website update. It is a Wahl nib correct to era, just not gold-seal.
Lovely pen. Killer nib. ![]() |

| COMMENTS:
Wear and bit of brass and a couple small dings on the posting area at very
bottom of pen. Incredible nib. The Telescope Cap ringtops are most
uncommon and are represented in the Waterman Catalog. The ringed outer
cap can be completely removed, leaving a complete pen in hand.
Neat item. |

| COMMENTS: Waterman's overlay pens are quite collectable. The 5x (fifty-something) models were introduced in 1917. Several overlay patterns can be found. Smooth Golldfilled such as this is less commonly seen than Filigree, Sheraton, and Gothic amongst others. The barrel has one shallow ding that causes disruption of the shadow in the picture, above. Nice flex nib. | |||

| COMMENTS: Mabie-todd is another high quality make that during the golden age was not quite as big as the Big-5. With strong branches in the USA and in England, many verrrrry pretty Mabies lurk out there. This one is a large clip pen, well less common than the little ring-tops. This one is a charmer, packing a circumferential engine-turned pattern quite different from what is found on most other makes. I like this one. | |||

HR was used by Wahl 1924-25 prior to the introduction of the Rosewood

clean trim, complete but light "wahl" imprint above the clip and a
sweet Wahl #4 nib. |

| COMMENTS: Symphony
replaced the vaunted Wahl Skyline, and the barrel shape channels that
earlier pen. The two tone metal cap enhances the eye appeal of this
streamlined pen. A pen of good quality, Symphony is somewhat
underappreciated in the pendom community today. This example has
very nice flex and is a sound writer |
