COMMENTS: The early Waterman 100-Year pens are the best of that series. This one is all correct, with barrel band, bandless cap, 100-year nib. The pen grades Extra Fine. The plastic is clean. No crazing. No cracks. Excellent Color. Trim has couple tiny areas of brassing. The cap imprint is faint, about half visible. The pencil has sharp imprint and no brassing, but does have crazing at top of cap. I figured i'd toss it in with the pen :)

COMMENTS: Sheaffer's massively successful "51" fighter during the 1950's was produced in an impressive array of colors and trim. Note "D.E" is stamped on the Sheaffer imprint?! I have several Snorks from disparate sources so stamped. Not sure what to make of that. This pen has original "Admiral" tab as well as "medium" sticker still on gripping section, corresponding to the medium "M-2" nib. Nice pen.

Pen 2170 Parker VS (Vacumatic Successor) ~ 1947 $225 Cordovan (well brown/tan anyway). MINT STICKERED

COMMENTS: SIgh. In the old days i'd never consider letting this one out of the collection, but i already have a mint VS and don't seek to collect 'em all. Intorducced around 1947, the Vacumatic Successor appeared before the demise of the Vac, proper, and did not long succeed it. Featuring a mix of features from the era, the pen has a very 51-ish cap with blade clip, button filler, Vac-style nib but sans arrow emblem, and with bizarre clear feed i've heard is of lucite. I believe these were produced in just one size and in four colors. This one is superb.

COMMENTS: Well, this one is just neat and is well outside my usual collecting interest. Sterling Cisele pattern pen and pencil "Classic" set (1980's??) along with mulitple caps demonstrating different advertising brands; BMW, GTE, Motorola, 3M GE, Aramis and more. Intended no doubt to help sell Parker pens with company logos. Fitted case is included.

COMMENTS: Where to start??? OK. This is the earliest style physician's set catalogued for the 100-Year, and is the second style produced in any 100-Year pen. Triple set has Pen, Pencil and Thermometer Case. This one is perfect regarding the three pieces. The Thermometer certificate correlates to the thermometer including in the thermometer case, It is noted that the presentation case is not perfect. The platform holding the pens no longer is attached to the metal internal hinge, so must be moved to the propped position by hand. Top satin is discolored. The warranty paper no longer adheres. May not be returned if inked or dipped. Original Sac. Might fill.

COMMENTS: An outrageous package for the Estie aficianado. The pen is mint and perfect. The pouch (stamped with the Esterbrook log0) is more rare than the pen and is the only one i've seen to have "jewels" embedded in the surfact (hope i'm not giving away any real diamonds, here- LOL). Original instruction sheet included. The one has the only box i've handled for the purse pouch. You can see the cardboard portion in the photo, the plastic top piece (also stamped, "Esterbrook" was left out of the photo but is include, of course, in this sale. COMMENTS: Symphony succeeed Skyline during the 1940's. Attractive pens, they are a bit undappreciate by today's collector. Presumably targeting the Parker "51", the Symphony never touched that pens popularity. Still, they are nicely styled pens of good quality. This one has original barrel sticker but has met ink, so is not mint.

COMMENTS: The Thin Model (TM) Snorkel introduced in 1952, gave the Parker "51" quite the run for the money. These two competitors dominated the American quality pen scene throughout the 1950's. The Snorkel's filling mechanism in 1959 would find its way into the big Sheaffer PFM series. This one is near mint and stickered. Under the cap the gripping section is wrapped by the original "medium" sticker/band. Price sticker is not on the pen. The pencil shows just bit of use to the eraser. The pen almost passed for mint. After an extensive soak of the nib, i was able to elicit the slightest wisp of pale blue ink.
