| Recently,
I picked up a tray of mint condition Sheaffer Connaisseur Fountain
Pens. Out of production and representing some of Sheaffer's best work
during the last couple decades, most of the pens in this bunch are
fitted with special-grade nibs. |
Three Styles are available:
- Sheaffer-branded in Opaque plastics, which I'm calling British Racing Green and Merlot, respectively.
- Levenger branded small-"d" demonstrators (clear pens) with
fancy cap-band and with side clip. Colors: Lime, Lemon,
Blueberry, Plum and Strawberry
- Levenger branded small-"d" demonstrators (clear pens) with
smooth cap-band and high-riding military style clip in Lichen
(blue-gray) and in Avocado (greenish), respectively.

| Many of the pens have special or uncommon nibs including: Broad, Stub and Oblique |
| Sheaffer converter included with all pens. Cartridges can be used, too. |
| I've seen these on ebay (admittedly with boxes and papers,
not present here) asking $295-395 and featuring typical points.
The most expensive pen in this bunch, with exotic nib, is priced
well below this. I am hopeful that price and nib render these...
enticing. Those with exotic points will have Sheaffer-branded
nibs even in Levenger pens, as special order nibs for these pens were
not marked for Levenger. |
